Legend of Noodle : Korean Food, I'm In Love!

Korean food is already familiar to Indonesian, especially Jakartanese people. No wonder, because there are lots of Korean restaurants here in Jakarta. One of the famous Korean restaurant in Jakarta is Legend of Noodle. Legend of Noodle itself currently has 2 branches in Senopati and Pantai Indah Kapuk.

Last Saturday, I tried the ones at Pantai Indah Kapuk. I realized that there are lots of bad comments and critics that their food and service is totally different from Legend of Noodle Senopati. At first, I feel reluctant to try and go there, however I really want to eat Korean food and I’m really curious to try Legend of Noodle in Pantai Indah Kapuk.

Once I got there, the waiters yell "ANNYEONGHASEYOOO" and it feels like in Korea. Appreciate how they look so exicted in serving their customer. The waiter then guide me to my table. I also got a chance to talk to the new management team, and they said that they already have new chef, new management, and new team. Yes, they just re-open the Legend of Noodle PIK and they're now much better!

On the table, you'll found additional sauces that you could mix or add, according to your own taste.

The other utensils, such as scissors, chopsticks, tweezers, and spoon are available on a bucket. You could use the scissors to cut the noodle, or even to crack the crab inside a jjampong (if you order this one).

COMPLIMENTARY BANCHAN

While you're waiting for your food, you could enjoy these complimentary menu from Legend of Noodle. It's super fresh, crunchy & refreshing!

Kimchi

Acar Lobak

JJAJANGMYEON – IDR 55,000

I bet you already familiar with this noodle, especially if you love to watch Korean movies, right? Yes, this is jjajangmyeon, which is a steamed noodle with sweet blakish bean paste and vegetables. The texture of the noodle itself is really soft and smooth, the bean paste is not too strong, the potatoes and the meat is well-cook. Feels like a Korean while eating this delicious black noodle!

HAEMUL JJAMPONG – IDR 80,000

*DROOLING* Yes, this is my reaction when I first saw the Jjampong. It's fresh from the oven  pot when the waiter served it, and ulala.... look at how shiny-smooth the noodle is! I definitely fall in love with the noodle here, no wonder they called themselves The Legend of Noodle! Hahahaha....

FYI, Jjampong is actually a spicy noodle soup flavored fresh seafoods and vegetables. That is why you could see crab, green mussles, squid, mushroom, and other vegetables. The soup itself is not that spicy (you could trust me on this one, because I couldn't eat spicy food). Well balanced!

For you who feel that 1 portion is too much, you could always share the portion with your loved ones! Legend of Noodle also provide smaller plates so you could share the jjampong.

CREAM SAEU – IDR 170,000

Cream seau is actually a deep fried breaded shrimp glazed in sweet cream sauce. I love the way they present this dish, because the shrimp is already breaded - I don't like to peel a shrimp, makes my life harder LOL - the mayo is not too strong, and taste super elegant!

The Legend of Noodle captures my heart! It convince me once again that me, myself, is really enjoy eating Korean Food. ë§›ìžˆëŠ” !!

Day 3 : Singapore - Full Day at Universal Studio Singapore

Hi there again sunshine!!

Yes, right now we're moving on to Day 3 (Horray!!). Sorry I just continue this story since the last few months ago (Jan - May) are being a really rough and difficult months in my life (hahaha, I can laugh it off right now).

Okay, get back to topic!

Today we'll be going to SENTOSA ISLAND or the UNIVERSAL STUDIO SINGAPORE !! YAYYYY (Read this one with a very excited voice, okay? hahaha)

To get here :

1. Take MRT to HarbourFront Station, alight or exit "E" to Vivo City (it's a mall).
2. Go to the 3rd floor to bought your Sentosa Express ticket(s).
3. Alight at "Waterfront Station", walk straight, when there's a "Chili Restaurant" on your right, turn right, and voila... the globe is in front of you!

After we arrived at Vivo City third floor, we directly queue to buy our ticket. Even though it looks like a long queue, it was really fast.

After the ticket is in your hand, then proceed to the gate. Here, tap your ticket like usual, then join another queue to board the Sentosa Express train.

The entrance door

Don't worry, the signs are everywhere, in case you get confused.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE

Yeay! We have arrived at USS, and don't forget to make sure you brought your ticket already, okay?

I bought this ticket through a local travel agent in Indonesia, since I want to guarantee my place in USS (if you bought it on USS, it might be sold out... well who knows right? Better prepare for the worst).
Besides, if I bought it through a local agent, I could get meal voucher SGD 5. Not bad huh?

You will need to redeemed this ticket at the ticket booth.

Can you imagine how excited I am to see this phenomenal globe?

AND THIS ONEEE??

Of course, let me take my snap here! I think this one is a must snap when you already get to Universal Studio Singapore. Well, not everyday you could go here and have fun right?

So after taking picture or - maybe - you passing by the USS globe, you'll found the entrance to the Universal Studio Singapore. Again, the queue is super long, but it's moving really fast. While waiting, you could also look at the map, or maybe grab a guide map and plan what games you want to try inside.

*EXCITED EXCITED EXCITED* Everything looks super perfect to me right now!

Posing with the minions at USS Stores.

Honestly, I just realized that I don't have too many photos at the park, especially with the main attraction, arena, and stuffs. I think I'm enjoying my time too much & I really need to catch up with the time. Since USS is super crowded everyday, and the queue in every ride is SUPER DUPER long. Like, I've waited for the Transformers Ride for about 3 hours - yes, correct, 3 HOURS.... so yeah, you better be fast!

However, the funny thing is I do remember to capture my lunch -LOL- blame my "food blogger" behaviour - it's in my blood - hopefully the food here could make you drool.

THE LOST WORLD - Discovery Food Court

Singaporean Laksa

Taste super good, very flavourful, and the tofu is just light and smooth. It comes with super big portion. The egg is perfectly cook, the shrimp is peeled already (easy to eat) I love everything here :)

Vegetarian Noodle

My mom order this one since she's afraid that the food here is not her taste (well, her taste is kinda unique and really hard to follow, believe me. She doesn't eat fat, intestine, or others. She eat clean.) To my surprise, taste actually great and that mushroom - delicious!

Bento box ? (sorry I forgot the name)

I know, this menu is sooo Indonesia, because it has rice on it. Taste okay, however for me it's kinda plain. Again, the portion's big, so still worth it.

After re-charging with big, satisfying lunch, let's go back and play again! Finally, I found 1 picture of myself with the most challenging attractions / ride in USS : BattleStar Galactica! This ride is super scary but totally worth the queue! Too bad I only could ride the "Red" one, since the time is not enough :(

Every girl definitely has a dream to has a palace like this! You could find this one at the "Far Far Away" land. The sky is getting dark, and I need to catch up my time because I need to watch "Wings of Time" show on 8.40 !

WINGS OF TIME (SGD 18 / pax)

To get here :

1. From USS, hop on the Sentosa Express again.
2. Alight at "Beach Station".
3. Follow the signs to Wings of Time

Again, I want to make sure that I got the seats, so I already bought the tickets back home in Indonesia. So no need to queue to buy the tickets anymore, hehehe!

We arrived on time for the show, and we pick a very great seat - it's located on the middle - and still have some time to relax before the show started.

I don't take any video here, since it's not allowed to record the show. However, I do take some snaps for you guys so you could know about Wings Of Time.

I personally think that it's super beautiful, magnificent, and jaw dropping show. The technology they're using, the water, the light, everything feels perfect! I think you need to watch this show when you already here. Again, experience is always priceless!

Here's a sneak peek of the show :

Momi & Toy's : Japan Creperie Choices to Die For!

Dessert is always be my favorite, comfort food. That is why I got super super excited to go to Momi & Toy's Creperie in Lippo Mall Kemang. Located on the 3rd floor, it's not like any ordinary take away crepe store, instead the concept is a Cafe.

Momi & Toy's is originally came from Japan, and they are a franchise company. The name "Momi" itself is the owner's name. At first, I'm sure you thought "Momi" means "Mommy" just like me! Hahahaha. Well, at least now you know, right? ;)

As you can see from the wallpaper decoration, Momi & Toy's is specializing on Crepe (Sweet & Savory). All of the crepe dough is home-made by Momi & Toy's, as well as their several sauces (i.e : Green Tea).

When you walk in the cafe, you could see a lot of Japanese style decoration, as well as Japan Tourist & Cultural pictures hanging on the wall.

The wall that caught my attention is the "Wall of Momi&Toy's Fame." Turns out that Momi & Toy's is having a Crepe-Class for kids (age 4 - 12 years old) regularly. For more information, you could ask the waiter there or contact the phone number listed on the brochure. Kids that join the class will be photograph and Momi & Toy's crew will put it on the wall. All of the photos are super cute!

Even though their concept is cafe, for customers who wants to take away their order could come to the cashier, and order there. Momi & Toy's also have an open kitchen for the crepe, where you could see the process on making your crepe. Your waiting will never be boring here.

Special of The Month

(14th May - 12th June 2016, only at Momi & Toy's Lippo Mall Kemang)

Lucky me, when I got there, I got a chance to try their special menus (waffle, yeayy!!) of the month, accompany by the Regional Marketing Manager (he's a Japanese that could speak Bahasa Indonesia - I know, cool right? ) and also the Marketing Manager from Indonesia, Ms. Uni.

Nutella Cheese Waffle (2pcs) - IDR 29,900

I always love dessert in its original form. The waffle texture is so chewy, soft, and smooth. No wonder of course, because the dough is home-made with love ;)
It taste not to sweet, and blends perfectly with the cheese, nutella and the chocolate sauce. I'd love to have this with english breakfast tea for my breakfast.

Nutella Banana Waffle - IDR 44,900

Still using the same waffle-dough, this time Momi & Toy's combine it with chocolate & vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, nutella, chocolate pocky, bananas, and some nougat peanuts. No need to ask me, of course this one taste heavenly yummy to me! Who doesn't love waffle with choco or even vanilla ice cream?

Matcha Nutella Waffle - IDR 54,900

For matcha lovers, Momi & Toy's also have the choice of Matcha ice cream & Matcha sauce. The matcha sauce is home-made and taste super duper good! The other difference is in this menu, they're using Marshmallow (yum yum!).

All Day Sweet Crepes Menu

Matcha Nutella - IDR 29,900

Looking for an ordinary crepes, with matcha sensation? Then I will recommend Matcha Nutella, since the green tea flavor is super strong and I'm sure could attract all the matcha lovers out there. Psst... you could take away this menu ! ;)

Premium Crepes

Black & White - IDR 59,900

For those of you who wants to order their premium or signature menus, you could try this "Black and White" crepe. The crepe is rolled into an ellipse shape, and there are 3 different toppings in each of the crepes. There are Nutella, Peanut Butter, and Toblerone. My favorite one will be the Nutella because I love chocolate too much! Don't forget to blend it with the vanilla ice cream, okay?

Chewy chewy, I bet you're drooling right now, because I do !! LOL.

Toblerone Chocolate & Cheese - IDR 59,900

I could say that this is - still & maybe forever will be - my favorite menu from Momi & Toy's. The crepe texture is so soft, the cream inside is smooth and super creamy-savory, the grated toblerone & cheese, the thick chocolate sauce, the vanilla ice cream, and the nougat all blends really well together. A comfort food indeed !

Beverages

Momi & Toy's Original Fruit Tea - IDR 34,900

This tea has a unique taste, with a peach flavor & scent hint. Mix together with mint leaves, lemon, lychee, and peach, this fruit tea is definitely must try - hot or ice - You could share this drink with 3 - 5 persons.

OH MY GOD, I want to go here and try the crepe! Well, don't forget to drop by Momi & Toy's creperie, and you could take a look at their menus there. There are also informations on the current promo & the special menus of the month. Simply ask the waiter, because they'll happily assist you ;)
