Yumzaa : Enjoy the Moment with Your Loved Ones!

Weekend is always best spend with your family or friends. If you are looking for a new place to hang out, with great choice of food, nice ambiance, cozy spaces, and - of course - affordable price, then I know a place just right for you! Yes, it’s Yumzaa Restaurant!

From the name, I think you could already guess that this is a Chinese food restaurant. I could say that they are more to a fusion restaurant based on their menus, despite the fact that they serve varities of -yummy- chinese dimsum. With their variety of menus and a very spacious area located at the heart of Tangerang city, I could say that Yumzaa is suitable for one of your restaurant hangout choices.

Yumzaa Resto Review

Few weeks ago, I got a chance to visit Yumzaa restaurant at their Karawaci Branch. The exact location is at Supermal Karawaci, Ground Floor, Jl. Boulevard Diponegoro No. 105, Karawaci, Tangerang.

They have 2 different sections here, one is their “indoor” restaurant where you could have more private area, less noises and with bar chair seating options. The other one is the “outdoor” where you could see Yumzaa open kitchen, a complete mall Karawaci view and of course with more noises.

The indoor restaurant with less noises

A bar-chair seating style

I prefer the outside one, since I could watch the chefs preparing and cooking our food! It’s really fun to watch, since they are cooking super fast while communicating to each other, ensuring each of the customers order.

The best thing from Yumzaa Restaurant, all of their crews are using a face cover while working,  peeling, preparing and cooking the food. So it’s proven that their kitchen is super hygiene! Nothing to worry about!

Yumzaa crews are using a face cover!
Super hygiene, right?

In addition, with the open kitchen concept, you could see the whole process of your food - starting from the preparation until the cooking process. Yeap, everything here is freshly made and cooked, just for you!

All foods are freshly made & cook by order

Live Demo : DimSum Making

When I was there, I also got a chance to see the live demo of DimSum making, and even luckier, I got a chance to try making the DimSum!

Yumzaa's head chef is preparing for the Live DimSum demo!

First, the head chef of DimSum show us how to make Spring Rolls and Siomay. These two dishes are the customers favorite DimSum menus. It might be small in size, but kinda difficult and complicated in the making process!

How to make Siomay demo

How to make Spring-Roll demo

After the Chef show how to make the Dimsum, then Yumzaa crew divided us into teams to compete in making the Spring Rolls and also the Siomay. It was totally fun and we’re rushing with the time given by Yumzaa! So exciting !!

This is how our dimsum look like

Well, unfortunately my team didn’t win the DimSum making challange. But we also super happy and congratulate other team for their winning!

Congratulations to the winning team!!

Yumzaa Dimsum, Food, Dessert & Beverages

Then, after we watch the live demo of DimSum making and also compete to make DimSum, finally it’s time to eat ! There are lots of food that I try here, but here are some of my favorites.

DIMSUM

I love Dimsum! Eating DimSum in a chinese food restaurant is like a must. Dimsum could be shared with your loved ones, which makes me adore Dimsum more, since it could bring people closer together through sharing :)

Siew Mai - IDR 16,000

1 portion consist of 3 siew mai. I must say, the price is affordable because you could have 3 siew mai with lots of chicken meat and prawns inside. It’s flavourful !

Lumpia Kulit Tahu Goreng Isi Udang - IDR 22,000

This is also one of my favorite fried DimSum. Also comes in 3 little portions, I could taste the prawn inside the dish. Super recommended if you also like fried DimSum like me.

Bakpao Telur Asin - IDR 14,000

Salted egg is now a trending dish in Jakarta - Tangerang area. Everything now turns into salted egg - starting from Dimsum into Croissant. I must say that eventhough the name is salted egg, but the taste is somehow sweet. If you are not into savory DimSum, then this might become a great choice. It also has a smooth and soft texture.

MAIN COURSE

After enjoying the DimSum as our appetizer, then it’s time to try their main course selections! Starting from dried noodle, soup, until baked rice, they almost have everything here! These are some of my favorites.

Baked Rice dengan Daging Sapi Lada Hitam - IDR 38,000

The rice itself is super buttery and flavourful. The cheese and the meat is super generous ! Super recommended dish if you are hungry and craving for a delish dish complete with meat and cheese.

Nasi Goreng Udang & Ikan dengan Saus XO - IDR 28,000

For those who don’t know what to order and want a “safe” dish, then fried rice is the best options. Full of seafood, the fried rice is tasty and it comes in a great portion.

Mie dengan Ayam Cha Siew & Telur - IDR 26,000

Are you a noodle lover? If yes, this is a great choice for you! The chicken cha siew is tasty, complete with the oily chicken skin - yummy! -  and there’s also a half boiled egg to enjoy with the noodle.

DESSERT

The best way to end the day after a heavy meal is through desserts ! Yumzaa also offers varities of desserts that you could choose.

Es Kacang Merah - IDR 25,000

I’m not really a fan of red beans, but Yumzaa red beans have a hint of sweetness, and because it served with shaved ice, it's refreshing! A great combination with whatever main course you choose. The portion is big too, so if you couldn’t finish 1 portion, just share it with your family or friends.

Roti Tebal dengan Es Krim - IDR 28,000

For those who crave for something sweet, then this dessert is your best options. Just who on earth doesn’t love bread with chocolate ice cream? The texture of the bread itself is super soft and it will be better if they add more butter inside.

BEVERAGES

Juice Stroberi - IDR 22,000

When I order juice for a drink, I always request for no-sugar & no-milk. Yes, I prefer a pure fruit juice. Most of the time at a regular restaurant, the taste will be plain because it will be too much water on the juice. Different with a high-end restaurant where they create a pure juice using a Juicer or Fruit Extractor. However, Yumzaa restaurant is different than others. The strawberry is super fresh and not watery. Recommended!

Juice Alpukat Milo - IDR 25,000

Yes, it’s like the best drink for those who loves avocado. Avocado with milo - is like a dream come true, right? No wonder that this drink is one of the most favorite drink at Yumzaa Restaurant.

BONUS : SPECIAL OFFER!

Yes, these are the special  offers available on Yumzaa Restaurant ! Make sure that you won’t miss it, okay? For you who don't want to miss Yumzaa's current offer, you could visit their Facebook Page : Yumzaa Indonesia , Twitter : @yumzaa_id and Instagram @yumzaa.id

YEAYYY Everything for IDR 14,900 !!

Horray! Discount 50% for their selected menus ;)
I do enjoy my time in Yumzaa, along with the very great services from their crews, the live dimsum making show, the ambiance, the companion and of course the food!

Legend of Noodle : Korean Food, I'm In Love!

Korean food is already familiar to Indonesian, especially Jakartanese people. No wonder, because there are lots of Korean restaurants here in Jakarta. One of the famous Korean restaurant in Jakarta is Legend of Noodle. Legend of Noodle itself currently has 2 branches in Senopati and Pantai Indah Kapuk.

Last Saturday, I tried the ones at Pantai Indah Kapuk. I realized that there are lots of bad comments and critics that their food and service is totally different from Legend of Noodle Senopati. At first, I feel reluctant to try and go there, however I really want to eat Korean food and I’m really curious to try Legend of Noodle in Pantai Indah Kapuk.

Once I got there, the waiters yell "ANNYEONGHASEYOOO" and it feels like in Korea. Appreciate how they look so exicted in serving their customer. The waiter then guide me to my table. I also got a chance to talk to the new management team, and they said that they already have new chef, new management, and new team. Yes, they just re-open the Legend of Noodle PIK and they're now much better!

On the table, you'll found additional sauces that you could mix or add, according to your own taste.

The other utensils, such as scissors, chopsticks, tweezers, and spoon are available on a bucket. You could use the scissors to cut the noodle, or even to crack the crab inside a jjampong (if you order this one).

COMPLIMENTARY BANCHAN

While you're waiting for your food, you could enjoy these complimentary menu from Legend of Noodle. It's super fresh, crunchy & refreshing!

Kimchi

Acar Lobak

JJAJANGMYEON – IDR 55,000

I bet you already familiar with this noodle, especially if you love to watch Korean movies, right? Yes, this is jjajangmyeon, which is a steamed noodle with sweet blakish bean paste and vegetables. The texture of the noodle itself is really soft and smooth, the bean paste is not too strong, the potatoes and the meat is well-cook. Feels like a Korean while eating this delicious black noodle!

HAEMUL JJAMPONG – IDR 80,000

*DROOLING* Yes, this is my reaction when I first saw the Jjampong. It's fresh from the oven  pot when the waiter served it, and ulala.... look at how shiny-smooth the noodle is! I definitely fall in love with the noodle here, no wonder they called themselves The Legend of Noodle! Hahahaha....

FYI, Jjampong is actually a spicy noodle soup flavored fresh seafoods and vegetables. That is why you could see crab, green mussles, squid, mushroom, and other vegetables. The soup itself is not that spicy (you could trust me on this one, because I couldn't eat spicy food). Well balanced!

For you who feel that 1 portion is too much, you could always share the portion with your loved ones! Legend of Noodle also provide smaller plates so you could share the jjampong.

CREAM SAEU – IDR 170,000

Cream seau is actually a deep fried breaded shrimp glazed in sweet cream sauce. I love the way they present this dish, because the shrimp is already breaded - I don't like to peel a shrimp, makes my life harder LOL - the mayo is not too strong, and taste super elegant!

The Legend of Noodle captures my heart! It convince me once again that me, myself, is really enjoy eating Korean Food. ë§›ìžˆëŠ” !!

Day 3 : Singapore - Full Day at Universal Studio Singapore

Hi there again sunshine!!

Yes, right now we're moving on to Day 3 (Horray!!). Sorry I just continue this story since the last few months ago (Jan - May) are being a really rough and difficult months in my life (hahaha, I can laugh it off right now).

Okay, get back to topic!

Today we'll be going to SENTOSA ISLAND or the UNIVERSAL STUDIO SINGAPORE !! YAYYYY (Read this one with a very excited voice, okay? hahaha)

To get here :

1. Take MRT to HarbourFront Station, alight or exit "E" to Vivo City (it's a mall).
2. Go to the 3rd floor to bought your Sentosa Express ticket(s).
3. Alight at "Waterfront Station", walk straight, when there's a "Chili Restaurant" on your right, turn right, and voila... the globe is in front of you!

After we arrived at Vivo City third floor, we directly queue to buy our ticket. Even though it looks like a long queue, it was really fast.

After the ticket is in your hand, then proceed to the gate. Here, tap your ticket like usual, then join another queue to board the Sentosa Express train.

The entrance door

Don't worry, the signs are everywhere, in case you get confused.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE

Yeay! We have arrived at USS, and don't forget to make sure you brought your ticket already, okay?

I bought this ticket through a local travel agent in Indonesia, since I want to guarantee my place in USS (if you bought it on USS, it might be sold out... well who knows right? Better prepare for the worst).
Besides, if I bought it through a local agent, I could get meal voucher SGD 5. Not bad huh?

You will need to redeemed this ticket at the ticket booth.

Can you imagine how excited I am to see this phenomenal globe?

AND THIS ONEEE??

Of course, let me take my snap here! I think this one is a must snap when you already get to Universal Studio Singapore. Well, not everyday you could go here and have fun right?

So after taking picture or - maybe - you passing by the USS globe, you'll found the entrance to the Universal Studio Singapore. Again, the queue is super long, but it's moving really fast. While waiting, you could also look at the map, or maybe grab a guide map and plan what games you want to try inside.

*EXCITED EXCITED EXCITED* Everything looks super perfect to me right now!

Posing with the minions at USS Stores.

Honestly, I just realized that I don't have too many photos at the park, especially with the main attraction, arena, and stuffs. I think I'm enjoying my time too much & I really need to catch up with the time. Since USS is super crowded everyday, and the queue in every ride is SUPER DUPER long. Like, I've waited for the Transformers Ride for about 3 hours - yes, correct, 3 HOURS.... so yeah, you better be fast!

However, the funny thing is I do remember to capture my lunch -LOL- blame my "food blogger" behaviour - it's in my blood - hopefully the food here could make you drool.

THE LOST WORLD - Discovery Food Court

Singaporean Laksa

Taste super good, very flavourful, and the tofu is just light and smooth. It comes with super big portion. The egg is perfectly cook, the shrimp is peeled already (easy to eat) I love everything here :)

Vegetarian Noodle

My mom order this one since she's afraid that the food here is not her taste (well, her taste is kinda unique and really hard to follow, believe me. She doesn't eat fat, intestine, or others. She eat clean.) To my surprise, taste actually great and that mushroom - delicious!

Bento box ? (sorry I forgot the name)

I know, this menu is sooo Indonesia, because it has rice on it. Taste okay, however for me it's kinda plain. Again, the portion's big, so still worth it.

After re-charging with big, satisfying lunch, let's go back and play again! Finally, I found 1 picture of myself with the most challenging attractions / ride in USS : BattleStar Galactica! This ride is super scary but totally worth the queue! Too bad I only could ride the "Red" one, since the time is not enough :(

Every girl definitely has a dream to has a palace like this! You could find this one at the "Far Far Away" land. The sky is getting dark, and I need to catch up my time because I need to watch "Wings of Time" show on 8.40 !

WINGS OF TIME (SGD 18 / pax)

To get here :

1. From USS, hop on the Sentosa Express again.
2. Alight at "Beach Station".
3. Follow the signs to Wings of Time

Again, I want to make sure that I got the seats, so I already bought the tickets back home in Indonesia. So no need to queue to buy the tickets anymore, hehehe!

We arrived on time for the show, and we pick a very great seat - it's located on the middle - and still have some time to relax before the show started.

I don't take any video here, since it's not allowed to record the show. However, I do take some snaps for you guys so you could know about Wings Of Time.

I personally think that it's super beautiful, magnificent, and jaw dropping show. The technology they're using, the water, the light, everything feels perfect! I think you need to watch this show when you already here. Again, experience is always priceless!

Here's a sneak peek of the show :
